Design Challenges:
The sunroom-style window in this Rancho Bernardo family room was beautiful, but it made the home too hot in summer and too cold in winter. The owners wanted greater efficiency and a more comfortable environment year-round, but didn’t want to sacrifice the panoramic views of the surrounding hillsides that made family poker night with their sons so pleasant. In addition, they wanted to be able to enjoy the view of their beautiful swimming pool from inside the house.
Design Solutions:
Dream Design Builders designed a spacious new room addition that met the owners’ needs both for its functionality and its eye-catching appearance. We eliminated the sunroom to create a more comfortable climate, and enhanced the aesthetic appeal with cathedral ceilings, tall windows overlooking the hills, and side gables with high windows that capture the scenery. Now, family night is more enjoyable than ever.
